Originally from the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, I made my way to the UK to study Business and Finance. However, my career took an unexpected and exciting turn when I discovered the world of software testing. Despite starting with minimal technical knowledge, I found my passion in software testing and never looked back.

Software testing captured my interest because it perfectly blends the things I love—technical challenges, organization, and problem-solving (I can’t resist a good puzzle!). Over the years, I’ve deepened my expertise by learning Python and C#, becoming an automation tester as soon as the opportunity arose. I’ve built automation frameworks from scratch using Selenium WebDriver and Robot Framework, and I’m currently expanding my skill set with Cypress and Playwright.

My experience spans both backend API testing and frontend UI testing, ensuring robust and reliable software from every angle. I’ve conducted extensive automated and manual testing using tools like Postman for API validation, and I’ve utilized SQL, SSMS, and Postgres for database testing and backend verification. On the frontend, my automation efforts have included testing user interfaces to ensure a seamless and intuitive experience for end-users.

In addition to technical testing, I’m well-versed in the entire testing process—from gathering and refining requirements to creating detailed test cases and tracking bugs. I’ve utilized tools like Jira, X-Ray for Jira, and Azure DevOps to manage the testing lifecycle efficiently, ensuring clear communication and smooth collaboration across teams. My approach is thorough and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and delivering quality results.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working across diverse environments—from charities and startups to established companies. Whether working independently or leading a team, I’ve embraced every opportunity to make a meaningful impact. I even had the chance to establish a QA function from the ground up, helping a company refine their entire development process.

I’m a strong advocate for Agile methodologies, believing they are essential in today’s fast-paced world where delivering immediate value is crucial. I’m equally passionate about shifting testing left in the development process, ensuring that issues and expectations are addressed early on, saving time and resources.

Continuous improvement is at the core of my work philosophy, and I’m always eager to learn and evolve. I’m excited about what’s next in my automation journey, and I’m ready to bring my experience and enthusiasm to new challenges.
